2. General

We only process personal data insofar as this is necessary to provide this website and our services. This website sets no cookies, uses no third-party analytics or tracking services and loads no fonts or scripts from third parties. Your light/dark mode preference is stored only locally in your browser (local storage) and is never transmitted to us.

3. Server log files

When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically processes information transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, host name or IP address of the accessing computer and time of the request. This data is used for the technical provision and security of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and is not merged with other data sources.

Visitor count: To see which pages are read, our service provider AlphaRay Digital GmbH counts page views on its server in Germany, under our data processing agreement. For each view we store only: the page viewed, the date and hour, the name of the referring website (such as “google.com”), whether a smartphone was used and how long the page was visible. To count visitors per day, a check value is formed from the IP address and browser identifier together with a random value that exists only in memory and is regenerated every night. The IP address itself is not stored; after the day changes, the check value can no longer be attributed to anyone. Nothing is stored on your device. Nothing is counted if your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website based on its use (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The count data is deleted after two years.

4. Contact by email, phone, WhatsApp and contact form

If you contact us, we process your details to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for booking enquiries, otherwise (f)). The contact form opens your own email program with a prepared message; nothing is transmitted until you send it there. Your data is deleted once it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.

If you contact us via WhatsApp, the privacy policy of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. also applies.

5. External links

This website links to external services (e.g. booking via stauferfalknerei-naturnah-akademie.de, PayPal, Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube). Data is only transmitted to the respective provider when you click such a link; their privacy policies then apply.

6. SSL/TLS encryption

For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption, recognisable by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to information about your stored data, its origin, recipients and the purpose of processing, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw any consent given at any time by informal email; the lawfulness of processing carried out until then remains unaffected.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.

8. Orders in the online shop

When you book courses or order vouchers or sponsorships on this website, we process your name, email address, phone number, postal address, your notes, for some courses the participants’ names and allergy/diet details, and the items ordered to perform the contract, to reach you in case of short-notice cancellations and to send vouchers (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). The data is stored on our server in Germany and is only visible in the password-protected admin area. For sponsorships we only publish the sponsor’s name next to the bird on this website with your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); you can withdraw it at any time by email. Accounting records are kept for the statutory periods (up to ten years, Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

For online payment you are forwarded to the payment provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland). Stripe receives the order number, amount, your email address and the payment details you enter there and processes them under its own responsibility; a transfer to the USA is possible. Details: stripe.com/privacy.

Your basket is only stored in your browser (localStorage) and cleared after ordering. No cookies are used for this.
