Forest, falconry and mental health

Forest mindfulness training with birds of prey. The forest as a place to breathe.

A walk in the woods does many people good – but often it is not enough to reduce stress and psychosomatic complaints. The forest needs to be used the right way.

Pressures such as conflicts or challenges at work or with health increase exhaustion. According to research, frequent worrying can promote a physical stress response; if it stays active for long, the risk of tension headaches, digestive problems or poor concentration rises.

In this course you learn to use the forest effectively as a health resource. You gain basic psychological knowledge and practise forest mindfulness under guidance. Effects and limits are explained on an evidence basis – and encounters with our birds of prey connect it all with falconry.
